The Different Kinds of Hands in Poker

Poker

The different kinds of hands that you can have in Poker depend on the suit of cards you have. The best hand is a straight flush, which consists of five cards of the same rank. Despite the name, an ace can be either high or low. An Ace high straight flush is the most desirable hand in the game, as it is also called a Royal Flush. However, it’s important to remember that a straight flush is rare and difficult to achieve.

In poker, the player with the best five-card hand wins the pot. There are various variants of the game, and each has its own set of rules. Most variants use a standard 52-card deck. Some variants include jokers. All hands in Poker contain five cards, ranked from Ace high to Ace low. Depending on the game, Wild Cards are used to break up pairs of identical cards. Wild Cards may also be used in some variants.

In a typical game of Poker, the dealer will reveal five cards, which are collectively known as the “flop”. The player with the highest pair wins. If no combination is possible, the second highest card wins. A pair is made up of two cards of the same value. If more than one player has two pairs, the highest pair wins. If two players have straights, the player with the highest pair wins. However, in a professional game, this is not a common situation.
